Ice Break Time
*Since a dear brother in charge of the PowerPoint slides may be running a little late today, Pastor Elmer decided we may have to prolong the icebreak time until the ice MELTS.
We played PICTIONARY! The topics were animal and Winter Olympics!
Testimony by Robert
Robert shared how a miracle occurred and brought the grandson of a dear friend back to life when they prayed. The grandson drank a bottle of rubbing alcohol attempting for suicide and was sent to the hospital with the kidney intoxicated and losing nearly 90% of its function. When Robert and his friend prayed together for this boy after a meeting, the boy's life pulse miraculously revived and surprised the entire medical crew. Hallelujah!!!
Message Time
Wayne shared the message on the three "right" sacrifices which are pleasing to God.
1. A Humble Heart Of Repentance
Psalm 51:16-17
16 You don't take delight in sacrifice.
If you did, I would bring it.
You don't take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 The greatest sacrifice you want is a broken spirit.
God, you will gladly accept a heart
that is broken because of sadness over sin.
2. Praise From Our Heart
Hebrews 15:13
15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer
to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name.
3. Our Body As Righteous Instruments
Romans 6:13
13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin,
as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer
yourselves to God, as those who have been
brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body
to him as instruments of righteousness.
Lastly but not the least: SNACK TIME!
