2011.04.30 TGIS Weekly Blog (posted by Ronnie)

Dear lovely viewers of our blog,
Sorry for such a long delay for this week's blog.

In this week's TGIS, the honorable brother Aki led us in icebreaker along with Kumi who interpreted for him. The ice break game was that everyone had a piece of paper attached to their back. On this paper, the name of a fruit was written. Everyone has to go around and ask each other questions to find out what fruit they are. The answers can only be "YES" or "NO".

"Am I green?"       "No"
"Am I round?"       "yes"
"Am I sweet?"       "yes"
"Am I hard? "        "yes"
"Am I a strawberry?"     "No"
"Am I an apple?"      "YES!!!"

Worship Song
1. How Great is Our God
2. Here I am to Worship
3. My All in All

Testimony
Dear Riko and Masafumi showed us pictures of their trip to Tohoku to help the refugees of the 311 earthquake.  Thank God for their kindness to the needed. May God bless Japan and recover the disaster stricken places and people.

Message
Today Pastor Elmer shared about what is SIN and what is doing RIGHT.

According to James 2: 8
"If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, 'Love your neighbor as yourself, ' you are doing riht."

However,  when we put ourselves in the center of everything... just like SIN, with the  letter "I" in the middle.   When we become self-centered, we are prone to sin and do things to hurt others and not according to God's will.

Jesus taught us that there are two core commands that we need to keep. "1. Love God"  and "2. Love Your Neighbors"
Because when we remember to follow this order, we will be able to be happy.
Why?  A good keyword is JOY.  The order of the letters in this word is
J - Jesus    O - Others   Y - You
When you put Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself third, you will definitely be blessed with JOY in your life.

Hallelujah, so what does it mean to LOVE OTHERS?

According to Titus 3:2
"to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone."
